I love helping people find beautiful homes, but what I love most is connecting with people. Every year, I make a point to get out into the community beyond real estate, showing up, meeting neighbors, friends and clients, and simply having fun together.
One of my favorite traditions each year is our annual day at Craven Farm. Bringing together family, friends, clients, and their families for an afternoon of simple fun and connection. We’re lucky to have the incredibly talented Kate Miller there each year to capture mini family photo sessions, and it’s become so special watching the kids grow and seeing those smiles and memories build year after year.
Remember Field Day back in school? Three legged races, potato sack races, kickball, water balloons, all the best summer chaos. Every few years, we bring it back… but for adults (yes, kids can come too).
Our Field Day has become one of my favorite summer events. A chance to let out my competitive spirit, connect with amazing people in the most fun ways, enjoy ice cream truck treats, win silly prizes, and soak up all the goodness of summer in Seattle.
That was such a blast. I think it's no secret my favorite part was the 50-person kickball game at the end. Truly epic! Thank you to all who came and had fun as we begin this tradition. I had such a good time I didn't want to wash my face paint off!
One thing we love doing once in a while during the colder months is hosting family movie events — a fun excuse to get out of the house, warm up, and spend a cozy winter weekend morning together.
Last time we rented out the Edmonds Theater for Dog Man 🍿 Before that, we watched The LEGO Movie together. It’s become such a fun way to connect with clients, friends, and families while the kids laugh their heads off and the adults enjoy a cozy morning too.
BONUS: Our favorite venue has become the Edmonds Theater, a beloved local, family owned business that’s been part of the community since 1916. Supporting local businesses in this sweet little downtown spot while gathering with friends makes it even more special.
Popcorn and drinks are always on us. Now the big question is… what should our next movie be? 🎬
Back in 2021 we held a simple community shred event and had a lot of fun. We hadn’t done one again until this year, but even back then it was always about more than just shredding papers. It was a chance for people to stop by, say hello, meet neighbors, grab a doughnut from local favorite Top Pot, enjoy a cup of coffee, and pick up some seeds from us for spring planting 🌱
This year, we noticed so many homeowners struggling to figure out what to do with old paint and other hard to dispose of items, so we expanded the event into more of a one stop community recycling day. People brought items to be shredded, recycled, and repurposed. We had a place for clothing, food and hygiene items to be donated to Mary’s Place and North Helpline.
Honestly, it was such a wild success. We loved seeing people connect, help each other, and leave feeling lighter with cleaner garages and a few more community connections too.
We’ll definitely be bringing this one back again ♻️
